What are you willing to give up?

I have taken so much from my two year old. I have removed dyes from her shampoo, and bath soap, I have limited her diet to the basics (or at least that's the way it feels). I have removed high fructose sugar, artificial sweeteners, MSG, soy, nuts, gluten, casein (anything milk based) or yeast. I also don't give her anything processed. I am now considering removing corn also. Where does it end?
I cleaned out my cabinets and gave away just about anything that didn't fit into this diet. Except I have cereal and a half gallon of milk for my older children. My family felt the impact when I gave away all their favorite little treats. At first I was allowing my other children to eat things that were not in Gabby's diet but I found they had to go hide to eat (I don't feel that making them closet eaters is healthy). We have all conformed to this way of living for the most part. It's gotten to the point where I am handing out vitamins and supplements in the morning, at meals and before bed... supplements, supplements, supplements!!!
Nothing about this is easy, but the changes I have seen are more then worth the challenge. Gabby's sensory, speech, social skills, coping skills, and behavior have all shown a great improvement.

Several months ago when Gabby was sometimes having multiple meltdowns a day (sometimes up to 15-20 ), I made her a promise. In the mist of a really bad day I sat on the floor holding her crying, and my exact words were " I don't know what is wrong, but I promise you I will figure it out!! I promise I am going to help you and make it all okay!" Everyday I work to keep my promise <3 even if it takes me till my dying day......
So yes I have taken away a lot, but I have gained so much more in return..... SHE has gained so much more in return!!!

Everday Gabby recieves:
Colostrum, HLC high potency (probiotic), coreomega3, gaba, intact digest, trace minerals, chlorOxygen, myrrhcom, anacom a.m, hypothalmupar, pituistat, M.C.T (triglyceride), metal-chord, and occasionally melatonin.

They call a child with autism special needs, and yes her needs are different from my other children but never under estimate the cabability of this child...... she is a warrior (and I am her armor)!!!!!
